The 2018 Optic Photography Conference in New York City is just around the corner, and they’ve made sure it’s a special one
It’s billed as a travel, outdoor and wildlife photography event and will be held across four days from 3rd June until 6th June 2018 in New York.

A four-day imaging event exploring inspiration, techniques and equipment essential to capturing the great outdoors, the annual OPTIC conference and trade show features the world’s top outdoor photographers.
The event is completely free to attend, so if you are in the area or can make it then it’s one not to miss. It’s also going to be live-streamed for anyone who can’t make it. They have a huge line up of events and speakers planned which include:
- Fujifilm Push Pin Gallery
- Sunset Cruise. Sponsored by Canon
- Nikon Party at the B&H Store
- Photo walk to the New York Botanical Garden with official National Geographic and Sony photographers.
And some of the speakers are:

- Ralph Lee Hopkins – Lindblad Expeditions
- Brian Smith – Sony Ambassador
- Adam Marelli – Leica Ambassador

Some of the event’s highlights
After the scheduled events on Sunday, all attendees will be invited back to the B&H Superstore for an after-hours dinner party where food and drinks will be served as well as raffles and other entertainment.
After the scheduled events on Monday, there will be a Sunset Cruise sponsored by Canon around New York City Harbour. The event will be free for any attendee who spends a minimum of $50 at the conference.
Tuesday will be when attendees get the chance to go on a photo walk through the city to the Botanical Gardens with National Geographic photographers from the Lindblad Expedition, as well as official Sony photographers.
